Custom Cabinetry & Built-Ins in Lakewood Ranch, FL

Lakewood Ranch homes are newer, larger, and mostly finished with whatever cabinetry the builder installed on a schedule. It works. It's also the same package in every house on the street, sized to standard boxes rather than to your rooms.

We build the alternative in our North Port shop — designed around your actual space, your ceiling height, and the way you use the room. Thirty years of custom woodworking, delivered and installed about forty minutes up the road.

Pieces That Don't Exist Anywhere Else

One Lakewood Ranch client came to us for a curved console to sit behind the living room sectional. Reclaimed wood, stained with patina accents across the door faces, mottled and variable so no two panels read the same.

Curved at both ends so it wraps the seating instead of cutting the room in half, with the top wrapping that curve in one continuous run of the same reclaimed stock.

Then they came back for the wine gallery.

Same language on the opposite side of the space — floor to ceiling, with angled label-forward racking so bottles read at a glance rather than showing their ends.

Hammered metal panels behind each bay catch the LED strips lit into the shelving. Drawer storage below keeps the working clutter out of a piece meant to be looked at.

Neither is a product. There's no catalog page, no model number, no showroom floor where you could point at one. They were drawn for two specific walls in one specific house.

Five Rooms, One House.

A Whole-Home Cabinetry Program

A second Lakewood Ranch client started with one room and brought us back four more times.

The kitchen — white shaker perimeter with glass-front uppers, a shiplap hood surround, and wood floating shelves to break up the white without fighting it. In the adjoining great room, the island is finished in stained raised-panel wood rather than matching the perimeter, anchoring the open plan.

The master bath — dual vanities in white and gray, with open lower shelving for towels and drawers sized for what actually goes in a bathroom.

The study — a media built-in with a bridge top in weathered gray, and a full library wall opposite it in the same finish, floor to ceiling.

The living room — a media wall with floating wood shelves on both sides, recessed lighting in each bay, and a solid wood mantel spanning the fireplace.

Five rooms, one house. Nothing ordered from a catalog.

Upgrading Builder-Grade Cabinetry

Most of our Lakewood Ranch work happens in homes only a few years old — a different job from a gut renovation.

The house is finished and lived in. New cabinetry has to meet existing trim, flooring, and ceiling details that are already there and staying. Finishes get matched to what's in the next room, not chosen from scratch. Installation happens around a family that hasn't moved out.

That's the work: building something custom that reads as though it was always part of the house.
