For this project, RMS Custom Carpentry & Woodworking created a custom garage storage solution featuring King Plastic StarBoard, a material selected specifically to help reduce the stress of water and humidity damage in a Florida garage environment.

Designed for Durability and Everyday Function

Unlike standard cabinetry materials that can be more vulnerable to swelling, moisture damage, or long-term wear in garage spaces, King Plastic StarBoard provides a durable, low-maintenance option for areas where humidity and water exposure are a concern.

This made it an ideal material choice for the client’s garage cabinetry, helping create a clean, functional, and longer-lasting storage solution built around the way the space is actually used.

Custom Shelving Built Around the Client’s Needs

The cabinetry was designed with custom shelving to give the client organized storage for household items, garage essentials, tools, cleaning supplies, and everyday accessories.

Instead of relying on generic shelving or off-the-shelf storage, each area was planned to make the most of the available space while keeping the garage clean, accessible, and easy to use.

Elevated Washer and Dryer Platform

A key feature of this project was the custom elevated platform for the washer and dryer. This helped improve the functionality of the laundry area while creating a more finished, built-in look inside the garage.

The platform was designed to support the appliances while giving the space a cleaner, more intentional layout.

From Final Design to Completed Install

From final design approval to completed installation, this project was finished in less than two weeks. The result was a garage storage system that looks clean, functions well, and is built with material choices that make sense for the Florida climate.
