Custom Cabinetry & Built-Ins in Sarasota, FL
Sarasota isn't one kind of house. There's the historic stock downtown, mid-century modern west of the Trail, waterfront condos, and new construction east of I-75 — often within a few blocks of each other.
That matters for cabinetry. A kitchen that belongs in a 1960s ranch will look wrong in a 2020 build, and neither of them wants what the showroom is selling this season. We design around the house that's already there — its proportions, its trim, its light — and build it in our North Port shop, thirty minutes south.
Three Sarasota Kitchens, No Two Alike
Every kitchen below is white. They are not the same kitchen.
Shaker fronts with a custom slatted hood surround built in place. Black granite on the perimeter, marble on the island, and a stacked stone wall the cabinetry had to meet cleanly on an uneven surface.

White perimeter with a dark stained island, black counters throughout. The contrast anchors a long galley that would otherwise read as a corridor.

Shaker doors, but warmed with a wood light rail carried across the uppers and a herringbone backsplash behind the range.
The second angle shows the piece that does the real work: a floor-to-ceiling pantry bank with the refrigerator built into the run so nothing breaks the line.

Specialty Engineering & Hidden Storage
Some of what we build isn't meant to be seen.
In one Sarasota home we built a walk-in pantry entered through a concealed door — a panel that reads as cabinetry until it opens. That kind of work is engineering before it's woodworking: the panel has to carry its own weight, swing true, sit flush on every edge, and keep doing it after a few thousand cycles.
We also build appliance garages, integrated storage that hides small appliances behind matching fronts, and cabinetry designed to conceal what a kitchen actually needs to hold.
If you've seen something you're not sure can be built, that's usually the conversation worth having.
Working in Sarasota Homes
Older Sarasota houses come with conditions. Walls out of plumb. Ceilings that aren't level end to end. Trim profiles you can't buy anymore. Rooms sized before dishwashers were standard.
Stock cabinetry gets installed into those rooms and the gaps get filled with trim. We measure the room as it actually is and build to that — scribed to the wall, matched to the existing millwork, sized to the space rather than the nearest available box.
